The late Swedish architect Strinning will never be forgotten thanks to the outstanding pieces he designed along with his wife. The String brand rose to fame in 1949 after winning a competition in which participants were required to submit a design for a shelf that would be affordable and easy to ship and assemble. After winning the competition, the brand became a must-have in Sweden.
