Star Clock Nelson
The Star Clock Nelson was designed by George Nelson for the Swiss design firm Vitra.
The Swiss brand Vitra is a unique company; it creates innovative, modern, sophisticated pieces for the home, but also designs the décor for many retail outlets throughout the world. The label offers both cutting-edge designs as well as more classic pieces such as the Star Clock Nelson. It is not an exaggeration to say that George Nelson was one of the founders of the American Modernism design movement, and he is responsible for many of the 20th century's most iconic furniture design pieces.
This striking clock has only a small face, but out of this come long, thin metal bars which allow the clock to resemble a glowing star, hence the name.
