The Ponte Dining Table was designed by Philipp Mainzer for the brand e15.
Mainzer was the founder of e15, a German label which has grown since the mid 1990s to become one of Europe's most successful. Always looking forward, but with an eye to using traditional techniques in creative ways, Mainzer's work offers a unique blend of tradition and futurism - and designs like the Ponte Dining Table are a case in point.
One of the label's first creations, the Ponte Dining Tablehas a bridge-like form hence the name , and is a fine example of simple, efficient design. It is made from solid, sustainably harvested oak, and measures 230 x 92 x 75 cm. It has an extremely simple profile, with no extraneous features. Instead, it impresses with its clear lines and the rich texture of the oak. Solid and durable, the table is perfect for use as a family dining setting.
