Plinth Grand Side Table
The Plinth Grand Side Table has been created by Norm Architects for the brand Audo. It is the epitome of minimalist and simple elegance. It makes a stunning style statement with no base, fasteners or other any of the usual components that tables have.
The Plinth Grand Side Table is made of different types of marble. Each one has its own look with its base colour and a unique pattern of veins or mineral lines. There are options for a table made of Nero Marquina, Calacatta Viola, white Carrara or black Marquina marble. The handcrafting process begins with marble plates that are 2cm thick being cut and their edges being milled at an angle. The five plates are then joined together with mitre joints. The corners are reinforced with bits of marble. At the bottom, the table has a base made of plywood that has adjustable glides on the underside.
The Plinth Grand Side Table has a length of 137cm, a width of 76cm and a height of 28cm. It can hold its own as a statement piece or it can be used to hold decorative objects. It can also be used as a low coffee table.
