The Ocean Dining Table 140x70cm is based on a reworked design by Nanna Ditzel for the label Mater.
Nanna Ditzel was an award-winning Danish designer who created a variety of popular products. The Ocean Collection received the 2019 Wallpaper Magazine Design Award for its sustainability. Mater was launched in Copenhagen and the company supplies minimalist products with a sustainable ethos, often created to Scandinavian design principles.
The Ocean Dining Table 140x70cm is for outdoor use and features in the Ocean Collection offered by this manufacturer. It is based on a 1955 design by Nanna Ditzel and uses recycled ocean plastics, including 90% fish netting and hard PP plastics. The dining table is available in two colours, and other products in the collection include stackable armchairs and a side table. The Ocean Dining Table has a slim, tubular steel frame and is finished with wide slats made from recycled ocean plastics. The table is ideal for up to four diners, and all elements are easy to take apart in order to upcycle or recycle. The Ocean Dining Table is 140cm in length, 70cm in width, and has a height of 74cm.
