Margin Floor Lamp
The Margin Floor Lamp has been created by John Astbury for the brand New Works. It is the designer's innovative take on the classic round lamp. His reinterpretation of it adds a second layer and makes use of fabric.
The Margin Floor Lamp has a two-tiered shade made of textile. It is sturdy so it stands strong, but also light enough to diffuse light rather than block it. The two layers are made up of a small round shade that fits under the lower circumference of the larger one. A border in a neutral colour goes around the edges of the two shades. A slim metallic stem made of powder-coated steel runs through the middle of the shades. At the bottom, the stem goes into a round base that holds the lamp steady. A pull switch for turning the lamp on and off hangs from the edge of the smaller, lower shade.
The Margin Floor Lamp has a height of 153cm and a diameter of 46cm. Its cable which is made of fabric has a length of 200cm. It uses an E27 socket. It will add a simple, timeless style to any space where it stands. This may be a living room, bedroom, entryway or hallway.
