Lantern Suspension Lamp M
The Lantern Suspension Lamp M has been created by Anderssen & Voll for the brand New Works. As the name would suggest, Lantern evokes the style of paper lantern designs, and takes inspiration from Chinese culture. This entry in the series is a medium sized pendant which creates a relaxing glow and will suit almost any room in the home.
The Lantern Suspension Lamp M has an almost spherical shade which measures 30cm in diameter. This shade has been subtly contoured via ribbed bands around its circumference, making it closely resemble the look of rice paper. But it's actually made from opal glass, a material which allows enough light to escape to effectively light medium sized rooms, while avoiding excessive glare.
The shade of the Lantern Suspension Lamp M hangs from a white 340cm long cable which can be adjusted to suit different ceiling heights. Thanks to its efficient composition, the pendant weighs just 3.5kg, and it connects to a standard New Works canopy, securing it firmly to ceilings. When it needs to be cleaned, the lantern can be wiped clean with a dry cloth. The lamp requires a single bulb, and the appropriate bulb with an E27 socket can be ordered under accessories.
