Karl-Johan Table Lamp Oak
The Karl-Johan Table Lamp Oak has been created by Signe Hytte for the brand New Works. Danish designer Hytte created Karl-Johan after feeling inspired during autumn mushroom hunts in the forests near her home. With its mix of tinted glass and wood, this sumptuous lamp evokes natural motifs while providing illumination for dining rooms, studies, and bedrooms alike.
The shade of the Karl-Johan Table Lamp Oak has a bulbous form which resembles the cap of a mushroom. Hytte has used opal glass for the shade, which comes with a rich white tone. It fits into a short cylindrical base made from brown smoked oak, creating a delightful interplay of pure white and wooden grain. The construction of the lamp means that light is cast throughout small and medium sized rooms, creating spaces to read, work, and simply relax.
The Karl-Johan Table Lamp Oak measures 23.5cm high and has a diameter of 23cm. It comes with a 180cm long cable attached, with a dimmable switch located 30cm from the base. At 1.9kg, the lamp is easy to handle and extremely mobile, and it requires a single bulb. Bulbs are not supplied, and light sources with the appropriate E14 socket can be ordered under accessories.
