IXA LED Floor Lamp/Reading Lamp
The IXA LED Floor Lamp/Reading Lamp has been created by Foster + Partners Industrial Design for the brand Artemide. Its design is inspired by those of renowned American sculptor Alexander Calder. It is the designers' take on elegant balance achieved with precision engineering.
The IXA LED Floor Lamp/Reading Lamp has a hemispherical shade made of painted aluminium. It is painted on the outside but white inside so it casts a similarly coloured light. It houses an inbuilt LED light source. It can be pivoted so that it provides light precisely where it is needed. The head is attached to a slim, round arm. It is also made of aluminium and is finished to match. The arm extends downwards to form a long stem. It is anchored by a disc-shaped base. Little stands underneath the base make it slip-proof and lift it a little off the ground. The lamp casts direct light downwards. It can be dimmed via a switch on the lamp's head. This is also the switch that turns it on and off.
The IXA LED Floor Lamp/Reading Lamp has a length of 42.2cm and a height of 105.3cm. Its base has a diameter of 25cm and its cable has a length of 180cm. It is available in bright and neutral colours.
