Grand Prix™ Chair Dyed Ash
The Grand Prix™ Chair Dyed Ash has been created by Arne Jacobsen for the brand Fritz Hansen. When it was displayed at an exhibition in 1957, the chair won a wide fan base and the prestigious Grand Pix Award. Decades later, it continues to be appreciated and sought out.
The Grand Prix™ Chair Dyed Ash is a Sustainable Choice product. It is made of an FSC®-certified ash veneer and finished with eco-friendly water-based lacquer. It has a wide backrest that has a unique V-shaped upper edge. Its wing-shaped edges then narrow down to form a straight backrest and then broaden out to form a wide seat. Its edges are raised to form a wing shape similar to the one on the backrest. The goal was to contour the chair to conform to the human form for maximum support and comfort. The shell rests on a frame made of tubular steel. The narrow legs with gliders underneath are outspread which makes it more stable and durable.
The Grand Prix™ Chair Dyed Ash has a width of 48cm, a height of 83cm and a depth of 51cm. It has a seat height of 46cm. It comes in a wide selection of colours and can be stacked with up to 12 chairs.
