Ellisse Major Downlight LED Suspension Lamp
The Ellisse Major LED Suspension Lamp was created by Federico Palazzari for the NEMO label and is a stripped-down masterpiece of interior lighting design.
The simplicity on display with this LED suspension lamp is characteristic of Palazzari's work - and the label as a whole. And that's no surprise as Palazzari is the founder and CEO of NEMO, as well as a key designer. While several artists contribute designs to the company's portfolio, the founder's ethos lies behind every product: cutting edge technology blended with timeless design principles.
In the case of the Ellisse Major LED Suspension Lamp, Palazarri has kept things deceptively simple. These lamps are based around slender extruded aluminium hoops, fitted with linear LEDs. This setup allows the user to alter the angle of the hoop, spreading light in the desired direction. And it also keeps the mass of the diffuser as low as possible. When they aren't in use, these suspension lamps will hardly be noticeable.
Each hoop measures 135cm across and 70cm wide - so they are semi-circular in shape. The lamp comes with a 250cm cable, ensuring total flexibility about how and where it is used.
