Crate Outdoor Bench
The Crate Outdoor Bench has been designed by Gerrit Rietveld for the brand HAY. This iconic piece sits within the extensive HAY Crate collection of garden furniture, designed originally in the 1930s to utilise surplus shipping crates and transform them into simple, functional outdoor pieces.
The Crate Outdoor Bench is available in a range of on-trend colours, and this particular version is finished in natural light-coloured pine. The solid wood has been carefully crafted and finished with a hardwearing water-based lacquer which is kinder to the environment than traditional oil-based lacquers. The bench has a width of 132cm, a height of 81cm and a depth of 64cm. The seat height is 45cm and the weight is a solid 50kg, reinforcing the quality of this high-end piece.
The Crate Outdoor Bench is also made using FSC®-certified wood, for a more sustainable choice. Crafted for outdoor use and ideal for garden socialising, some basic assembly is required upon delivery. This bench is also designed for the contract market, as well as for private spaces. It can be accessorised with cushions and pads from the Crate range for extra comfort, and it will elevate any outdoor space with style, balance and grace.
