TheCircus Grande Ceiling Lamp was created by the designer Defne Koz for Foscarini.
Since 1981,Foscarini has been creating unforgettable and functional pieces that use light not just as source of illumination, but of style and luxury. They began manufacturing lights using mouth-blown glass, but expanded their repertoire of materials to include aluminium, carbon fibre, Kevlar and polyethylene. The range of designs has evolved allowing them to create unique and exciting styles.
Working with world renowned designers has allowed them to achieve a high status among lighting manufacturers. Defne Koz, has created a simple, minimal design that provides a special effect. The light can be mounted on the ceiling or the wall. She uses a circular outline, which always represents balance and uniformity. The mouth-blown glass radiates a soft light with an elegant aura. The Circus Grande Ceiling Lamp sits 3cm away from the wall or ceiling so it appears to be hovering. The glossy white glass diffuses light in a halo, offering an elegant yet intense glow. The luminaire is 46cm in diameter and 13cm in height and has a nickle coated button in the centre that acts as a lock.
