Bestlite BL2 Table Lamp
The Bestlite BL 2 table lamp was designed in 1930 by Robert Dudley Best. Back then the Bestlite lamps were Britain's first example for the Bauhaus style, which is why convincing reasons were necessary before they could go into production. The Bestlite only experienced its breakthrough, when Winston Churchill put one on his desk in the Whitehall.

Many years ago Bestlite blossomed as an architects' favourite and is now a welcome guest in design hotels and gourmet restaurants. In private rooms with a sense for fine design lamps the Bestlite naturally shines just as well! Thanks to their wonderfully timeless design the lamps by Bestlite can be used in all rooms, as reading lamp as well as decorative lighting.
Lastly, Bestlite convinces with its practical aspects: It is pivoted and swiveling in almost all directions thanks to a ball joint in the lamp's head. This way its light can be optimally aligned according to application. A heavy base plate guarantees stability.
The British label Bestlite, since 2004 part of the Danish design group Gubi, offers this table lamp in various colour versions.
