Assolo LED Table Lamp
The Assolo LED Table Lamp was created by Luta Bettonica for the Italian lighting label Cini & Nils.
Established in 1969 by designer duo Mario Melocchi and Franco Bettonica, this premium lighting manufacturer was originally founded to overcome the hurdles of big business, allowing its two founders to take their individual creations to the market without intrusion. The brand hit the headlines in the early 1960s when the Cuboluce was unveiled, an iconic lighting piece that blurs the line between function and designer aesthetics. Today, many products from this celebrated company can be found in museums across the world, with several pieces on permanent display at the New York Museum of Modern Art.
The Assolo LED Table Lamp is a more recent addition to the portfolio, but demonstrates that all the magic that made this company so popular is still there. Designer Luta Bettonica, daughter of Franco, continues a minimalist theme set out in the Assolo collection, with a discreet ring centrepiece and subtle LED lighting for a more diffused illumination that creates an incredibly relaxing ambiance in any interior. Like the ceiling light from the same range, the Assolo LED Table Lamp features LED lights on the inside of the ring, ensuring light doesn't disperse too widely.
