The Ambit Suspension Lamp Ø16.5cm was designed by TAF Studio for the brand Muuto.
TAF Studio is a joint venture of Swedish designers Gabriella Gustafson and Mattias Ståhlbom, who work on both grand and modest scales equally effectively. Some of their finest creations have been reworkings of familiar concepts, including the Rime and Ambit series of lamps - both of which were commissioned by the Danish label Muuto.
Simple but finely engineered, the Ambit Suspension Lamp Ø16.5cm shows the refinement which typifies TAF's work. Mixing aluminium and rubber imaginatively, this stylish pendant lamp will add character to dining rooms and bedrooms alike. Possessing a classic pendant lamp format, the core of the product is its 10 x 16.5 cm hand-spun aluminium diffuser, which comes with a matt finish in several muted tones. The exterior of the diffuser contrasts with the white interior, which reflects the light generated by an efficient 5.5W LED bulb, avoiding excessive glare. The lamp is suspended by an adjustable 400cm cord, providing flexibility regarding how it is deployed. With its compact form, the Ambit Suspension Lamp Ø16.5cm can be used on its own in small spaces or in clusters to illuminate larger rooms.
