Thonet S43 Seat Mat with Foam Filling
This colourful and comfortable Thonet S43 Seat Mat foam filling was designed by Bernadette Ehmanns for the German manufacturer HEY-SIGN.
HEY-SIGN was established in 1999 and quickly became a leading global designer and producer of wool felt products. The line up includes seat and bench covers, baskets, bags, carpets and lampshades, all of which are hand-made in Germany from natural wool. This unusual material allied to a timeless sense of style has led to the firm receiving a host of accolades and awards at events such as Maison et Objet in Paris and at the Ambiente and Decorate Life exhibitions in Frankfurt am Main.
The Thonet S43 Seat Mat foam filling is a seat pad designed to add comfort to the Thonet S43. The S43 tubular chair with moulded plywood shells was designed back in 1931 by Mart Stam and this seat mat brings an added layer of padding to this classic chair. The Thonet S43 Seat Mat foam filling measures 37cm in length and 36cm in width. Crafted from 100% natural felt with a 3mm thick foam filling, the mat is available is a wide range of tempting colours to add a touch of breezy character to any S43.
