Yard Garden Armchair
The Yard Garden Armchair was designed by Stefan Diez for the brand emu.
German designer Stefan Diez worked as a cabinet maker for three years before studying industrial design. He most recently put his talents to work designing furniture and has garnered numerous prestigious international design accolades, including the Red Dot Best of the Best Award, as well as the iF Gold Award. Since 2007 he has been a Professor of Industrial Design at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design.
Here Stefan Diez has partnered with a leading manufacturer of stylish and aesthetically-pleasing outdoor furniture, emu, to produce a unique range of garden chairs and tables - the Yard collection. The Yard Garden Armchair is part of this broader collection. Like its counterparts in the collection, the chair has a lightweight aluminium frame, with different elegant finishes. The seat and the back of the chair is formed by a latticework of elastic belts. As with all the chairs in this range, the belts are available in numerous colours. The Yard Garden Armchair is 58cm wide, 81cm high and 55cm deep. It weighs only 3.7kg, and so is easily portable.
