The BM4570 Outdoor Dining Chair Foldable was designed by Børge Mogensen for the brand Carl Hansen.
Mogensen was a Danish creator whose "Danish modern" designs were in demand internationally long before his death in 1972. His style was simple and functional, but classical. The partnership with Carl Hansen is a natural one as this manufacturer has been very much a part of the development of the "Danish modern" style of customised furniture and household objects through supporting like-minded designers.
The BM4570 Outdoor Dining Chair Foldable is part of a range of outdoor items, including a deckchair and footstool, tables and a "wall wardrobe" - a wooden pegged hanger for two or more coats. All the items in the range have a natural look and are manufactured with a teak frame. Teak is ideally suited for outdoor use, being durable and having a high oil content. The colour of the wood will change as it ages, but it remains beautiful with its gentle grain. The seat of the chair is made of fabric, stretched across the frame. The BM4570 Outdoor Dining Chair Foldable is compact in its functionality, measuring 50cm wide, 72cm high and 53cm deep. The seat is 43.6cm high.
