Palissade Garden Bench
The Palissade Bench was created by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for the Danish label HAY.
Since its launch in 2002, HAY has established itself as a leading designer of furniture and accessories for the home and workplace. Its products combine form and function while remaining true to the traditions of Danish furniture design. Based in Paris, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec are brothers who have formed a successful partnership using their backgrounds in the decorative arts to create sophisticated furniture ranges. Their work is widely exhibited and they have received many accolades including the iF Design and the Red Dot Best of the Best awards.
Like all of the pieces in the Palissade range, the Palissade Bench demonstrates a pleasing visual fluidity while being both comfortable to sit and hard-wearing enough for many seasons of outdoor use. This combination is achieved through a blending of round steel tubes for the bench's frame and square steel tubes for the slats of the seat. The Palissade Bench is crafted from weatherproof powder-coated steel and available in a range of finishes. It measures 120 x 45 x 42 cm.
