FireGlobe Fireplace
The Eva Solo FireGlobe Firebowl was created by the Danish pair Claus Jensen and Henrik Holbaek for the Eva Solo label, and is an innovative piece of outdoor lighting design.
Holbaek and Jensen form one of Denmark's leading outdoor design partnerships, creating everything from birdfeeders to this imaginative outdoor light. Over the years, they have crafted more than 300 unique creations and collected numerous awards for their product designs, including many indoor and outdoor products for Eva Solo.
In this case, the pair were tasked with creating a source of illumination for picnics, garden parties and terraces that would provide something out of the ordinary. Holbaek and Jensen responded, creating the Eva Solo FireGlobe Firebowl, a rounded and angled metal fireplace that features several innovative features.
The fireplace measures 64 x 64 x 75 cm and has been composed of steel and aluminium. It has also been cleverly angled to protect the fuel inside from the wind; this fuel could be briquettes or another organic material. Whatever you use, the flames will be contained, but their heat will gently warm the surroundings on long summer evenings. It's the ideal accompaniment to outdoor social gatherings that stretch into the night.
