Spring LED Suspension Lamp S
The Spring LED Suspension Lamp S has been created by Tom Dixon for the brand Tom Dixon. It is part of a collection of lamps that are made of metallic strips. They have been fashioned into attractive, high-power functional lamps.
The Spring LED Suspension Lamp S is made with stainless steel strips. They have been overlapped and attached to form a shade with the shape of a flat orb. The individual strips are assembled using a tool known as a diecast puck that makes it possible to create complex joining of parts. The shade conceals an LED light source and injection-moulded diffuser that casts light through the diamond-shaped openings in between strips. When the lamp is switched on, interesting patterns dance across the wall created by shadows and strips of light. The metallic finish gives it the semblance of a disco ball.
The Spring LED Suspension Lamp S has a width of 56cm and a height of 24cm. Its cable is 250cm long. The lamp is attached to the ceiling with a canopy that has a diameter of 13cm. The lamp can be dimmed using most types of LED dimmers. It comes in silver.
