Rime Suspension Lamp Ø 37cm
The Rime Suspension Lamp Ø 37cm was designed by TAF Studio for the brand Muuto.
Working out of Stockholm, TAF is an innovative studio which constantly seeks to infuse familiar products with humour and wit. Led by Gabriella Gustafson and Mattias Ståhlbom, the studio has won Swedish Design Awards and gained fame with its Atelier Chair. But the Rime collection, created in collaboration with the Danish label Muuto, could be TAF's defining statement.
Part of a wider family of acorn-shaped lamps, the Rime Suspension Lamp Ø 37cmmeasures 37cm across and is 45.5cm tall. Hanging from an adaptable PVC cord, the lamp's diffuser has been formed from mouthblown glass, giving it a delicate quality. Thanks to the texture of the glass, the Rime Suspension Lamp Ø 37cm sheds a muted but insistent glow that will illuminate larger rooms with ease, while avoiding unpleasant glare. The lamp uses an energy efficient E27/12W LED bulb, which can be swapped when required. It weighs just 4.2kg, so is not too heavy for easy installation. Resembling an illuminated acorn, the Rime Suspension Lamp Ø 37cm will create an instant visual impression while providing a reliable light source for domestic settings.
