Pirce LED Suspension Lamp
The Pirce LED Suspension Lamp has been created by Giuseppe Maurizio Scutellà for the brand Artemide. One of the brand's best-selling pieces, it is not immediately clear that it is a lamp when it is not turned on. It can easily pass for an intriguing piece of art.
The Pirce LED Suspension Lamp is a sculpturesque piece that creates the intriguing illusion of curved pieces spiralling downwards towards the floor. It is actually one sheet of aluminium that has been cut into descending spirals. The lower end of it has a shallow bottom bowl that hides LED light sources. The lamp casts light both upwards and downwards. This creates an interesting play of light and shadows on the wall and ceiling. Suspension cables made of stainless steel secure the light onto the ceiling. A canopy made of the same material hides the wires.
The Pirce LED Suspension Lamp has a length of 97cm and a width of 94cm. It has a height of 28cm and a suspension height of 200cm but is height adjustable. Its diffuser has a diameter of 97cm. Its light intensity can be adjusted via a push dimmer. It comes in neutral and metallic finishes.
