Cosmos 2500 LED Suspension Lamp
This eye-catching Cosmos 2500 LED Suspension lamp was designed by Lievore, Altherr, and Molina for the Spanish lighting label Vibia.
Vibia was established in Barcelona in 1987 and soon found international success through its commitment to innovation and quality. Lamps such as the Funnel collection designed by Ramón Benedito showed how lighting design could add glamour and romance to domestic and commercial spaces. The 2009 release of the Ameba Single Pendant Lamp was another landmark. Designed by Pete Sans, it exhibits an organic, flexible form and won the Best of the Year award.
With its shallow, disc-shaped form, the Cosmos 2500 LED Suspension lamp resembles a heavenly body in the night sky. It features a polycarbonate diffuser which directs illumination from the integrated LED downward. With a diameter of 19cm, a canopy diameter of 16cm and a depth of 4cm, the lamp has a generous suspension height of 200cm which allows for very flexible positioning. Striking and versatile, the Cosmos 2500 LED Suspension lamp can be hung either individually or in rows to create fascinating lighting solutions in a variety of settings. It works especially well as task lighting when positioned over a table, workspace, counter or kitchen island.
