Cloud Suspension
The Cloud Suspension was designed by Frank Owen Gehry exclusively for Swiss lighting specialist Belux.
This innovative lighting design house and manufacturer isn't afraid to take risks when it comes to pushing the boundaries of design convention. Known for using abstract concepts to redefine classic household items, the company has developed a loyal following far beyond the borders of its home country of Switzerland. Belux has developed a range of production techniques over the years in order to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to eye-catching and effective lighting solutions. Among the many technologies it has developed over the years is the U-Turn system.
The Cloud Suspension dimmable is a celebration of the unusual. While some will compare it to a Chinese lantern, others will say it looks more like a lily, floating elegantly in the air. This dimmable light has a suspension length of 200cm, which makes it ideal for use in older buildings with high ceilings. The shade is made with polyester fleece, and the fitting is made with a high quality polycarbonate. The Cloud Suspension dimmable is available in four different heights: 48cm, 52cm, 60cm and 65cm.
