Ambit Rail Suspension Lamp
The Ambit Rail Suspension Lamp has been designed by the TAF Studio for the brand Muuto. Muuto means 'new perspective' in Finnish and its philosophy is to take traditional Scandinavian design and give it new perspectives. Gabriella Lenke and Mattias Ståhlbom are TAF Studio and with the Ambit Rail Suspension Lamp, they take the classic chandelier and upgrade it with contemporary lines.
The Ambit Rail Suspension Lamp is easy to install. The rail of three separate lights is powered by one ceiling rose. It works well above dining tables or kitchen islands and in office or hospitality spaces. Each shade is made of handspun painted aluminium while the rail is cast extruded aluminium. Four metres of rubber cord and steel wires complete the design. The suspension lamp is finished in one colour, giving a sleek effect with a range of colour choices available. The white shade interiors enhance the diffusion of light. Each shade is fitted with an E14 socket. Bulbs for these can be purchased as and when required. The Ambit Rail Suspension Lamp is dimmable. The rail is 126cm in length with a suspension height of 350cm and each shade is 25cm in diameter and 20cm in depth.
