The iconic Akari 1N Table Lamp was designed by the innovative designer Isamu Noguchi for the popular Swiss-based furniture label Vitra.
Japanese American designer Isamu Noguchi was a top-tier designer, artist, and landscape architect who worked out of his New York studio. Before his death, Noguchi was famous for his contemporary and ingenious masterpieces, some of which are on display at the Noguchi Museum in New York City. This lamp is an example of the designer's superior talent and extraordinary imaginative abilities. The Akari 1N Table Lamp features an organic style that merges Chinese decoration with contemporary aesthetic qualities. Made from high-grade shoji paper and cast iron, the lamp adds a beautiful accent to any living space. The lamp bathes the room with warm light, and the narrow, cast iron stands makes for a pleasing contrasting effect with the paper. Measuring 39cm in height and 25cm in diameter, the Akari 1N Table Lamp uses 20W or 40W LED E27 opal bulbs.
