102 Suspension Lamp
The Le Klint 102 Suspension Lamp was designed by Edvard Kindt-Larsen and Tove Kindt-Larsen for the lighting manufacturer Le Klint.
The story of this design company dates all the way back to the beginning of the 20th century when Danish architect and engineer Jensen Klint designed a hand pleated lampshade to fit a paraffin lamp. By 1943, the Le Klint company was born led by Tage Klint. Since then, it has grown to become an award-winning luxury lighting brand known around the world for its unique designs.
The Le Klint 102 Suspension Lamp features a cross-pleated lampshade -- a modern interpretation of the Danish company's design tradition. It was inspired by the pleating technique used for Kaare Klint's Fruit Lamp. The result was a cylindrical lampshade that also features a cross-pleating technique, but with three decorative bands at the points where these cross-pleats meet. The lampshade is made from washable PVC that resembles a soft fabric and creates a gentle, diffused light. The suspension lamp is available with either a small lampshade with a height of 39cm or a large lampshade with a height of 59cm. It has a cable length of 250cm, making it perfect for higher ceilings as well.
