B 97 Side Table Beech
The B 97 Side Table Beech was created by Marcel Breuer for the brand Thonet. Originally crafted in the 1930s, the B97 collection was part of the high tide of modernist design. Echoing Bauhaus ideas, it includes a range of nested tables which mix good looks and ergonomics. And this side table is one of the highlights of the family.
Sporting a tabletop made from MDF board beech, the B 97 Side Table Beech has an unusual C-shaped format where the surface is only supported at one end. However, thanks to the steel tubing frame and the clever proportions of the table, this does not reduce its stability. Instead, the C-shape allows B 97 tables to nest together and be moved with ease - a classic piece of modern design.
There are two different sizes of B 97 Side Table Beech: a smaller version measuring 46cm wide and 52cm tall, and a larger version measuring 53cm by 57cm. Both measure 47cm deep, and they can slot into a single configuration for storage. Simple to use and beautiful, the B 97 Side Table Beech could have endless uses.
