Ptolomeo Art 215 Book Stand
The Ptolomeo Art 215 Book Stand has been created by Bruno Rainaldi for the brand Opinion Ciatti. Winner of the 2004 Compasso d'Oro Award, Ptolomeo took inspiration from the most famous librarian of the Library at Alexandria. Completely modern in conception, the bookcase recedes into the background, allowing magazines or books to form the core of the aesthetic, while making it easy to choose reading matter.
The Ptolomeo Art 215 Book Stand consists of a 40cm by 40cm base which supports a column of shelves. The shelves have been slightly offset, producing a visually interesting look when the layers are fully stocked with literature. And with a height of 215cm, there is room for plenty of books or journals. Generally, the bookcase will suit larger format volumes such as art books and magazines, but it can also be used to store vinyl records.
The stem of the Ptolomeo Art 215 Book Stand has been made from a range of materials, including matt finished black metal and polished stainless steel.
