Gran Livorno Bookshelf
The Gran Livorno Bookshelf was created by Marco Ferreri for the Italian design label Danese.
For over sixty years, Danese has been known for its contemporary designs that work in both domestic spaces and public areas. The label's furniture and accessories bring together elements of photography, graphics and the visual arts and are created from environmentally sound materials. Italian-born Marco Ferreri is based in Milan and works in the areas of industrial and set design, graphics and architecture. His creations are known for both their strong aesthetics and their functionality. Ferreri's work is exhibited in several museums, including MoMA in New York and among his prestigious prizes are the Red Dot Award and the Design Plus Prize.
The Gran Livorno Bookshelf artistically combines functionality with elegance to create a five-shelf bookcase with a strong optical appeal. It is crafted out of a powder-coated steel sheet, giving a finished product that is strong and stable while remaining light in weight and appearance. Two bookcases can be combined together to create a self-supporting ladder structure that works perfectly as a room divider. The dimensions of the Gran Livorno Bookshelf are 85 x 210 x 30 cm.
