Folded Shelf XS
The Folded Shelf XS has been created by Johan Van Hengel for the brand Muuto. Dutch industrial designer Hengel is driven by an aspiration to enrich everyday items with added layers of elegance, uniqueness and meaning.He does this with a focus on materials, technique and function. He rounds off designs with a surprising detail that put his unique, sometimes whismsical touch on it. His talent is clearly illustrated in the Folded Shelf XS. The shelf is made of a 0.15cm sheet of steel that is laser cut and then folded before being finished with an acrylic powder coating. The coating gives the metal an understated, textured and elegant look. It also makes the shelf resistant to chipping, more durable and resistant to corrosion. The end result is a shelf that imitates the look of folded paper. It comes with two hooks and two bolts for mounting the shelf on the wall.
The Folded Shelf XS has a length of 96cm, a width of 29.5cm, a height of 40cm and a depth of 8cm. It is available in a choice of colours. This shelf is suitable for use in any room in a house. It can also be used in offices and other commercial spaces.
