B 22 Shelf
The elegant and modern Thonet B22 Shelf was designed by the product design team at Thonet, a highly popular and successful classic furniture brand.
The firm was founded in 1819 by Michael Thonet to produce his own furniture designs using the then-new bentwood process he had developed. Quickly, the brand achieved huge commercial and critical success and built up a global distribution network. In the 1930s, the company had a period of major expansion, adding tubular steel furniture to their portfolio. Now, the company continues to manufacture tubular steel and bentwood classics as well as collaborating on innovative new pieces with acclaimed contemporary designers.
The Thonet B22 Shelf has a clean, minimalist style that evokes the look of a work of modern art. Smooth rounded edges and a neutral colour palette lend a harmonious appearance that works well with any style of décor and blends neatly into the surroundings. With dimensions of 75cm high, 85cm wide and 39cm deep, the shelf has two storage areas and a top display shelf, providing plenty of storage for ornaments, books and other small items. With a weight of 18kg, the shelf has a sturdy feel and does not slip, yet is easy to move around to update the room space.
