The eye-catching S 64 Swivel Chair was designed by Marcel Breuer for the German label Thonet.
Designed in 1859, the famous Vienna Cafe Chair, hailed as the best piece of industrial furniture of the time, gave the Thonet brothers their first popular success. The brothers subsequently expanded their business, moving the headquarters to Frankenburg in Germany. The inspirational Hungarian designer Marcel Breuer is recognised as a leading pioneer of tubular steel furniture.
