S 64 SPVDR Office Chair
The S 64 SPVDR Office Chair has been designed by Marcel Breuer for the brand Thonet. Created in 1929/30, the S 64 SPVDR chair featured an innovative use of slender steel tubing, blending clear lines and minimalist aesthetics with a high level of comfort. Now, one of the great modernist classics has been updated and refined by Thonet, and it still has the power to impress.
The S 64 SPVDR Office Chair is a swivel chair which features a four-legged base fixed to a tubular steel column. The column features a lever to adjust the chair's height if required, while casters are attached to each leg, making the chair extremely mobile. The use of steel for the frame ensures a pure appearance and excellent durability. The cane and plywood back give a good support, while the bent plywood seat has been upholstered with a soft Gabriel Step fabric.
The S 64 SPVDR Office Chair measures 89cm high, 68cm wide and 68cm deep, with a seat height of 40cm. It has a total weight of 13.5kg, and the lightweight construction combines with the casters to allow complete freedom of movement.
