Grand Prix™ Swivel Chair
The Grand Prix™ Swivel Chair has been created by Arne Jacobsen for the brand Fritz Hansen. It provides not only supreme support and comfort but also elevates the aesthetics of a space. It was winning awards as far back as 1958 when it was displayed at an exhibition.
The Grand Prix™ Swivel Chair is a Sustainable Choice product. Its single-piece shell is made of FSC®-certified ash wood veneer. It has a high backrest that is split in the middle. Its edges are also slanted and they form an elaborate wing shape. The lines continue downwards where they taper and then broaden out again to form a well-sized seat. It completes the circle of graceful curves that start at the top with its slightly upturned, rounded edges. A lever underneath the seat makes it possible to adjust its height. The base is another display of craftsmanship. It is made of powder-coated steel. A thick stem supports the seat and extends downwards where it branches out into five legs. Each one has a pair of twin castor wheels that make for easy manoeuvring.
The Grand Prix™ Swivel Chair has a width of 52cm, a height of 82cm and a depth of 52cm. Its seat height is 44cm. It is available in dark colours.
