The EA 119 Aluminium Chair Fabirc Polished Base has been created by Ray & Charles Eames for the brand Vitra.As far back as 1958 when the chair was originally conceived, the designer couple were already making waves and setting new standards with their unconventional approach. With this chair, they threw tradition out of the window by doing without a shell and working with a frame instead.

The EA 119 Aluminium Chair Fabirc Polished Base has a frame of aluminium which is lightweight and strong. The chair has a high backrest that provides optimal back support. It has upholstery fabric stretched tightly over it and the seat to create a firm surface to sit and lean back on. Hopsak has been used for this. It is a polyamide that has an open, flat weave. The seat beneath the backrest is also wide and just as comfortable. The seat can be adjusted with a backward tilt and it can be locked in the forward position. Its seat can also be adjusted via a pneumatic spring. The chair has a frame that has five prong-shaped legs with castors underneath.

The EA 119 Aluminium Chair Fabirc Polished Base has a width of 58cm, a height of 113.5cm and a depth of 58.5cm. It comes in neutral colours with a polished stainless steel base.
