J166 Jørna Armchair Textile
The J166 Jørna Armchair Textile has been created by Poul M. Volther for the brand FDB Møbler. The designer created and named this armchair after his beloved wife Jorna. Knitting was one of her hobbies and he designed the chair to offer her comfort as she did it.
The J166 Jørna Armchair Textile has a frame that is made of FSC®® - certified oak. The backrest is high and wide. It is also rounded, with an arc that starts from the tip of one front leg and ends at the tip of the other end. Apart from rounding the backrest, the arch also forms sloped armrests. In typical Danish mid-century style, the chair has spindles over the entire backrest. The shell sits on a frame that has stout and rounded legs. They are outspread at the back to make the chair more stable.
The backrest has a padded cushion that covers the upper part of it. The seat also has a padded cushion. Both of them are upholstered in Standard 100 by Oeko-Tex® fabric. The J166 Jørna Armchair Textile has a width of 76.6cm, a height of 86cm and a depth of 76.4cm. It has a seat height of 40.3cm.
