J41 Chair Oak
The J41 Chair Oak has been created by Børge Mogensen for the brand HAY. It is a retake of the designer's classic J41 chair. It is classified as a Sustainable Choice product. This is because it is made of FSC®-certified wood which indicates it has been sourced from a responsibly managed forest.
The J41 Chair Oak is made of oak, oak veneer and plywood. It has a standard-height backrest. It is wide and has a curved upper edge and spindles running down its length. They pay homage to Danish traditional design. The seat is also generously sized. It is made of plywood and it has curved edges. The shell is supported by a frame made of solid oak. It has been shaped into sturdy, rounded legs which work well with the spindles which look similar. There are narrower bars attached to the legs. They run along and across them to form an H-shaped footrest.
The J41 Chair Oak has a width of 46.5cm, a height of 82.5cm and a depth of 48cm. Its seat height is 44.5cm. It comes in a natural oiled, water-based varnish or dark oiled finish. Neutral-coloured seat padded and upholstered cushions are available for purchase separately.
