The Sequoia Bar Stool H 76cm was created by Torbjørn Anderssen and Espen Voll for the design label Magis.
Founded in Italy by Eugenio Perazza in 1976, Magis went on to become a world leader in furniture and accessories for both the home and public spaces. The label's pieces are always innovative in aesthetics and function. The artistic and creative backgrounds of Norwegian-born Torbjørn Anderssen and Espen Voll are reflected in their furniture design. They received the Söderbergs Award in 2007.
Inspiration for the Sequoia Bar Stool H 76cm was drawn from the bare branches of trees, creating a truly functional piece with a strong outline. The bar stool is made from steel with a wide and comfortable footrest that emerges organically from the stool's main column. The shape of the footrest is repeated in the seat, while the round base reflects the shape of the supporting column, giving a pleasing balance to the design. The steel is finished with a coloured coating of polyester powder, which provides added durability. The Sequoia Bar Stool H 76cm has an overall width of 39.5cm.
