The Drop Leaf HM5 Lounge Table Foldable was designed by Hvidt & Mølgaard for the brand &Tradition.
The Hvidt & Mølgaard design duo are internationally renowned for their furniture designs from the 1950s and were pioneers of the Danish modern style, which combined Traditional craftsmanship with modern industrial furniture production. Their iconic designs were often extremely simple, but also very precise. They are particularly renowned for the AX Chair, created in 1950, as it was the first Danish chair design to feature a back and seat with double-curved laminated wood, and used a technique normally reserved for tennis racquets!
The Drop Leaf HM5 Lounge Table Foldable has a classic appearance and folds down neatly so it can be stowed away when not in use. The solid wood table is available in high quality white oiled oak or oiled walnut, both of which feature beautiful graining. Its simple design and curvy shape ensure it looks good in any living space, while the solid brass ball-shaped hinges on the legs make it an extremely durable piece of furniture. The table measures 80 x 56 x 78 cm, with the oak table weighing 11kg and the walnut table 9kg.
