Pip-e Green Garden Chair
The Pip-e Green Garden Chair has been created by Philippe Starck and Eugeni Quitllet for the brand Driade. Part of Driade's 'Black is the New Green' collection, Pip-e is a cute garden chair that's both beautiful and practical. Made entirely from recycled materials, it combines solid aesthetics, fine design and sustainability in one seductive product.
The Pip-e Green Garden Chair has a simple four-legged design with a backrest and no armrests. The base and shell of the chair have both been made from recycled polypropylene plastic which has been reclaimed from everyday consumer items like drinks bottles and food packaging. This plastic allows Starck and Quitllet to mould an elegant series of straight and curves horizontal slats for the seat and back. And it also keeps the weight very low - handy for moving the chair around.
Completely stackable when not in use, the Pip-e Green Garden Chair has a waterproof matt white finish that will also protect it against UV damage. The chair measures 83cm high, 44cm wide and 52.5cm deep, with a comfortable seat height of 47cm. Mixing simple elegance and a clever use of recycling, it will work well in almost any outdoor situation.
