Kaiser Idell ™ 6718-W Wall Lamp
The timeless yet distinctive Kaiser Idell 6718-W Wall Lamp was created by the esteemed designer Christian Dell for the prominent producer Kaiser Idell. A silversmith by training, Dell also studied at Weimar's Saxon College of Arts and Crafts, later managing a metal workshop and directing design. A few years later, the designer collaborated with Gebr. Kaiser & Co, designing their lighting range, including the 6631 Luxus model which later became the company's best seller. Around the same time, Dell experimented with plastic designs, becoming a pioneer in the use of plastic materials.
Available in a selection of pleasing colours, the Kaiser Idell 6718-W Wall Lamp is characterised by its concertina shaped, extending arm and unusual appearance. Manufactured from painted metal, the wall lamp is ideally suited to the office, study or drawing room and its flexibility ensures that light is emitted where it is needed. When required, the wall light's arm can be extended to 89cm and when not in use, can be retracted to 49cm. The materials used in production ensure that this luminaire is robust and durable and, subsequently, will remain of service for many years to come.
