HL 99 Bauhaus Suspension
The HL 99 Bauhaus Suspension has been created by Tecnolumen for the brand Tecnolumen. Interestingly, the designer of the first lamp in this series back in the early 1900s remains unknown. It is also one of the very first lights that used the electric light bulb.
The HL 99 Bauhaus Suspension is pared down to the basics. It is suspended from the ceiling with a rounded stem finished with glossy plating done with chrome or brass. It goes into a cone-shaped canopy in the ceiling. The lower end of the stem supports an orb-shaped diffuser made of opal glass finished with light-coloured paint. It is capped by a metallic cover that is finished to match the stem.
The HL 99 Bauhaus Suspension is available in five sizes. The smallest has a diameter of 20cm and a height of 120cm and the next one up in size has a diameter of 25cm and a height of 125cm. The next largest bulb has a diameter of 30cm and a height of 130cm. There is also the option of one with a diameter of 35cm and a height of 135cm or the largest one that has a diameter of 40cm and a height of 140cm. It is not dimmable. Replacement diffusers are available in case of breakages. Each lamp is numbered consecutively and bears the TECNOLUMEN signet.
