The Eames Plastic Armchair DAW RE Dark Maple Base has been designed by Ray and Charles Eames for the brand Vitra. Sitting within the Vitra Eames Plastic Chair Collection, this chair is based on the now-iconic design which dates back more than 70 years. Today, the collection of chairs has been updated with fresh colours, a new height, different material finishes and recycled plastic for a sustainable choice.
The Eames Plastic Armchair DAW RE Dark Maple Base is made from the distinctive single-sheet injection-moulded plastic chair, designed to fit the user's contours and provide exceptional comfort. Made from recycled post-consumer waste, this sustainable manufacturing approach results in tiny flecks of colour dotted throughout the plastic. The chair base is made from maple and shaped black steel, finished with plastic feet and felt gliders to protect hard floors. The chair has a width of 62.5cm, a height of 83cm, a depth of 60cm and a seat height of 43cm. The armrest height is 68cm and the chair weighs 6kg.
