VL38 LED Table Lamp
The VL38 LED Table Lamp was designed by Vilhelm Lauritzen for the brand Louis Poulsen.
Lauritzen was one of the most important Danish designers of the modern era. A recipient of the prestigious C.F. Hansen Medal, he designed major national projects which often involved creating atmospheric and beautiful lighting. The VL collection came about when Lauritzen was commissioned to furnish Copenhagen's Radiohuset concert hall.
The timeless elegance of the VL collection of lighting products has made them desirable to the general public for domestic use, so Louis Poulsen reintroduced them for a new generation. A leading light of the VL collection, the VL38 LED Table Lamp has a delicately curved powder-coated aluminium diffuser which creates a two-tone effect between its exterior and interior. The shade measures 17.5 x 13.5 cm and is attached to the rounded base via a hinged brass arm which raises the height to 38cm. Each VL38 LED Table Lamp comes with a 330cm cable for flexible placement and is fitted with a single fixed 9.6W LED bulb, which cannot be changed. The lamp height can also be adjusted easily, shedding light in any direction as required.
