His design principles are well illustrated in the Kai S39 Bar Stool Seat Oak with Cushion 54-79cm. In the middle, the backrest has the unexpected detail of a U-shaped crease. It pushes the backrest in from the front and outwards at the back. The shell is made of solid oak that is finished with staining, bleaching or is left unfinished. The stool comes with a cushion that is available for purchase separately. It is upholstered with soft, premium quality leather. The shell sits on a stem made of stainless steel. The stem is anchored by a circular base that is also made of stainless steel. The stool has another detail of a footrest at the front that is arched.
