Danish furniture design company Fritz Hansen has been creating extraordinary designs since 1872. In 1934, their collaboration with Arne Jacobsen resulted in several chairs that have become recognised internationally as classic icons of Danish furniture design. Jacobsen began his career as an architect and brought this skill with him when he began to design functional and elegant pieces. His simple, functional chairs remain timeless classics today.
The Special Edition 2020 Egg Chair Loungechair is a limited edition release of the 1960 classic, originally developed for the opening of the SAS Hotel in Copenhagen. The Egg Chair uses a strong foam core for comfort, a polished aluminum base and quality upholstery to form the beautiful curves that make this chair iconic. The curves of the chair complement any interior room, either private or commercial, and the tilt suspension base makes it comfortable when sitting for any length of time. Measuring 86 x 107 x 79 cm, this chair can be used alone in personal living or bedroom spaces or in pairs or groups in offices, waiting rooms and hotels.
