Glo Ball W Wall Lamp
The Glo Ball W Wall Lamp has been created by Jasper Morrison for the brand Flos. As the name indicates, Glo Ball features a glowing ball-shaped diffuser, creating a planet-like ball of light. This version of Morrison's minimalist collection is intended to secure directly to walls and makes fine use of blown glass to create a stunning astronomical effect.
The diffuser on the Glo Ball W Wall Lamp takes centre stage. Made from mouth-blown glass, the diffuser is almost perfectly spherical, aside from a small flattened section comprising the socket with the wall or ceiling. The surface of the diffuser has also been acid etched to enhance its brilliance, creating the planetary look that Morrison was aiming for. Underneath, the wall fixture is made from galvanised pressed steel and has been engineered to recede from view.
The Glo Ball W Wall Lamp measures 33cm long and 16cm wide, with a height of 26cm. The lamp weighs 1.8kg and casts a diffused, insistent beam in all directions - ideal for supplementing main lights in larger spaces or for use in hallways and stairwells. A single halogen tube bulb is required, and the appropriate lamp with the E27 socket can be ordered under accessories.
